Western Garden, built in the fourth year of Daoguang Period
of Qing Dynasty (1824 A.D.), was the former residence of
Hu Wenzhao, who was an official in Kaifeng, Henan Province.
The gate was octagonal and looked like unusual, made of
bricks. The residence in courtyard was a topical Suzhou
Garden style. All of these could not be seen everywhere
in Xidi Village.
