Taoli Garden |

Taoli Garden, was built in fourth year of Xianfeng Period
of Qing Dynasty (1854 A.D.). The whole structure was composed
of three rooms and two stories and designed by the brothers.
Front hall is full of literary style, there is an engraving
of Chinese calligraphies, Auspiciousness, Salary, Longevity
and Happiness. This hall was used to interview the honored
guest. The middle hall was little brother¡¯s dwelling house
with unique designation of dooryard, which has a function
of lighting and ventilation. The left and right wall of
the back hall were decorated by six wood folding screens
which were engraved the Old Drunkard¡¯s Arbor, written by
Ou Yangxiu who was an outstanding poet in Song Dynasty.
The lacquer engraving was made by the famous calligraphers
Huang Yuanzhi, who was the Governor of Huizhou County.
